Content layout change 1 Month, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hi,

First off, thanks for the great template.

I'm planning to use it as a kind of news portal, but since I'm quite new to PHP I don't know how to change content area layout. The default one is a piece of news at the top and two columns of more pieces of news just below.

I would love to have something like 5 or 6 news items in just a single column, not two columns. I did try manipulating the index.php but in vain.

Could anyone help me please?

This is a Joomla thing - nothing to do with the template itself.
In Joomla admin, go to menu manager, mainmenu and edit menu item HOME. Alter the columns parameter to 1 (and click APPLY or SAVE).

You can effectively set up an individual column layout for each "page" of your Joomla site by altering this parameter for the relevant menu item.
